What’s it like?

The gun goes on the first Saturday of Summer. This year it’s the 6th of December 2025. Perfect preparation for Christmas

You battle 3 surf breaks, 3 tough swims and 3 flat out runs over 6km before finishing on the softest sand in Sydney for a thigh burning 400m home straight. The 3 Points Challenge (“3PC”) demands fitness focus.

What’s your commitment?

The 3 Points Challenge is a tough race so preparation counts. Our whole group training timetable with 27 sessions will be available and some of the most important sessions are at North Curl Curl on a Saturday each week from October 25 through to until the race on Saturday December 6 2025.

BUT FIRST there are our 3 flat-water fitness foundation sessions at Balmoral from Saturday October 4 until Saturday 18 October 2025. They start with an hour long 6:30am close to shore ocean swim session followed by a 7:30am run and stretch session at Balmoral.

THEN we have our Sunday morning Swim Squad at Balmoral Baths diving in at 6:15am for swimming training and tuition for an hour before a quick change into our regular 7:15am Level Up session for one of the great double ups.

6 x North Curl Curl Surf Club Sessions with water Safety and expert Surf Swimming tuition.

Our early October sessions helps get you ready for the 6 Saturdays @ 7am at North Curl Curl Beach with Expert Tuition and Water Safety in the Surf provided by NCCSLSC. That surf session is followed by an 8am swim/run session working around the ocean pools in the area. The 7am North Curl Curl Back-to-Back sessions are on: October 25, November 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29!

3 Swims Challenge at Balmoral

On November 30 we have our 3 Swims Challenge which is an handicapped event starting in Balmoral Baths with a run over to Chowder Bay and back, followed by a final swim at Balmoral before finishing with a 1km sand run.

NCCSLSC Surf Swimming Sessions Rates

The Saturday Sessions at North Curl Curl will be $600 for 6 sessions from October 25 to November 29.

If you can’t commit to all 6 the casual rate will be $120 per 2 hour session at North Curl Curl. There is a session size limit so casual session may or may not be available!

Small Print: T’s & C’s

The Surf Club will be working for our safety and if they decide that its not safe to train due to the prevailing surf conditions we will not be going in the surf that day. Unfortunately, that will be bad luck and no refunds are possible. However we will be holding training in the safest ocean pools or focusing on our running that day.

But wait, that is not all. From October 6, we will be adding 3 Points Challenge Preparation focused sessions to our timetable, and not just on a Saturday. We will be adding opportunities in the water as separate sessions at Balmoral and Freshwater and also as extension opportunities before or after existing sessions. These will be available by appointment and charged at our regular group training rates. Better still for regualr clients, if you have make ups to do, you can tick them off in these sessions.
